Shevy Kalku
A retail platform covering point of sale, store and shelf stock, supplier deliveries, batch costing, expiry control, damage write-offs and true profit and loss.
Retail losses rarely announce themselves. Stock moves to the shelf without a record, a delivery is accepted without checking the invoice, expired goods sit in the count, and profit is calculated against whatever price was last typed in. Shevy Kalku closes each of those gaps with a control rather than a report after the fact.
Built for supermarkets, chain stores, pharmacies, distributors and any retailer holding stock in both a store room and on a sales floor.
Why batch costing matters
Most small retail systems hold one cost price per product. When the supplier raises the price, that single figure is overwritten — and the profit on everything sold last month silently changes with it.
Shevy Kalku records each delivery as its own layer at the price actually paid. Sales consume layers in order and freeze the cost onto the transaction. Last month's profit stays last month's profit, and stock valuation reflects what the goods on hand really cost.
Controls that survive staff turnover
Every movement that reduces stock — a sale, a damage write-off, a disposal — is either recorded at the point of sale or passes through a verification chain requiring two other roles. No single member of staff can move goods out of the system unobserved, and every approval carries a name and a timestamp.
What it does.
Selling
Stock control
Costing and profit
Loss prevention
What it changes.
Shrinkage becomes visible
Store, shelf and sale are reconciled continuously, so a discrepancy surfaces the same week rather than at annual stocktake.
Expired goods stop being counted as value
Expiry sits on the batch, alerts run ahead of the date, and disposal is written off at the correct cost.
Deliveries are checked before they enter stock
No invoice, no approval, no stock. Quantity disputes get settled at the point of receipt.
Profit figures you can rely on
Frozen unit costs and separate loss lines produce a profit and loss statement that reflects what actually happened.

Common questions.
No. Shevy Kalku runs on your own machine or local server, so selling continues through an internet outage. Email alerts queue until the connection returns.
Yes. Items import from a spreadsheet including barcodes, categories, units, thresholds, opening stock, cost and selling price. Re-importing updates existing items rather than duplicating them.
Each item can have a stock unit and a pack unit with a pack size. Receiving in bundles and selling in yards, or buying by the bag and selling by the mudu, is handled with automatic cost conversion.
No. Store and shelf values and total sales are restricted to manager and administrator roles. A salesperson sees only their own sales.
